The Chamber's 156th Annual Dinner

The keynote speaker will be Tom Chappell of Tom's of Maine
2010 Community Leadership Award Recipients
Henri A. Benoit Award for Leadership in the Private Sector, MaineHealth
Neal W. Allen Award for Leadership in the Public Sector is Gov. John Baldacci
Robert R. Masterton Award will be given to the University of New England
President's Award will be presented to Richard Connor of MaineToday Media Inc.
Also, the Chamber's Volunteer of the Year Award will be announced.

Creative, as usual: Roxanne Quimby, former CEO of Burt’s Bees has created The Quimby Colony a non-profit urban artist-in-residence program specializing in both fashion/costume/textile design and the culinary arts located in the former Roma Restaurant building on upper Congress St. She will discuss her new venture.

The Maine Compact for Higher Education is holding its 5th annual Symposium on Higher Education on Tuesday September 28th in Portland. Once again the Portland Regional Chamber is a co-sponsor, and this year the program is highlighted by a gubernatorial forum on education policy.

Thursday, September 30th, 5-7pm
The Portland Regional Chamber and the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce present the first joint Business After Hours between our Chambers which will be held at Spring Meadows Golf and Country Club in Gray and sponsored by Androscoggin Bank. Network with a variety of other businesses. Stop by early and play some golf. Discount pricing for 9 or 18 holes! If you attend, you will register on site. No advanced reigstration needed.
