MEMBER NOTICES

The SCC and SEDCO have been working on a long-term economic development Vision & Plan for Scarborough for the past year.  The final Vision document is now complete (visit www.ScarboroughEconomicDevelopment.com/Vision.aspx to view it) and the implementation portion of the process began in January 2010.  If you would like to be a part of the implementation process, please contact VisionComments@maine.rr.com.  The group meets the first Thursday of each month at 8:30am at Town Hall.  Thank you for being a part of this important community process.

MEMBER BENEFITS

Scarborough Community Chamber members should have received the 5th issue of the Scarborough-specific e-newsletter on December 11, 2009.  This was the holiday promotion-centric issue.  If you do not receive it, but would like to receive it in the future, please send an e-mail to: ScarboroughChamber@maine.rr.com.

As a reminder, any Chamber member is welcome and encouraged to include something along the lines of “Proud Member of the Scarborough Community Chamber” or “Proud Member of the Portland Regional Chamber” plus the respective logo on their letterhead or communications, if they would like to do so.  If you need a file of the Chamber logo for your letterhead, just contact Laura LeBrun by e-mail at llebrun@portlandregion.com and she will process your request.

The Scarborough Community Chamber has begun keeping track of how long Scarborough Chamber businesses have been in existence, so that we may help you commemorate your significant anniversaries, etc.  Please take a moment to e-mail your business’ year of creation to Julie Bassett (jbassett@maine.rr.com) so that it may be added to our records.

Scarborough Community Chamber is now on Facebook and LinkedIn.  Just search for “Scarborough Community Chamber” under “Groups,” submit a request to join and you will be approved.  These groups are open for any member of a Scarborough Community Chamber business.  Start a discussion with your peers on one of these sites today!
