Show off YOUR Business!!
Host or Sponsor a Business After 5 in
2010-2011 and share your story with the Chamber's membership!

Business After 5's are held from 5-7 pm.  This event gives you the opportunity to talk about your business, and have fun while networking with other businesses.  Hosts can expect approximately 40-50 attendees, and are responsible for providing the location, appetizers, a cash bar or non-alcoholic beverages, and a door prize.  If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, but have limitations, you can sponsor a Business After 5 with a Chamber member as co-host.  By sharing the cost, you will receive the same benefits!  We are looking to make these "bigger and better" this year, so don't be afraid to make your event memorable - invite prospective members and clients, create a theme for your event or share a new product or service.

If you are not able to host an event, you can always get exposure for your business by donating a door prize which will be given out at a BA5.
If you would like to take advantage of these great opportunities, please get in touch with Ann Lebel at alebel@portlandregion.com or
772-2811 ext 223 as soon as possible so you don't miss your chance - first come, first served!

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT:

South Portland/ Cape Elizabeth Chamber Board of Directors welcomes Robyn Violette, club house manager of the Purpoodock Club to the board.

The Purpoodock Club is a private golf club featuring a distinctive 18-hole championship golf course conveniently located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The Club limits its membership to 350 gold members that are made up of a cross-section of Greater Portland's coastal communities of South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough and Portland.

Purpoodock features a unique and walkable course, with water hazards on many holes, hilly terrains, beautifully manicured grounds and breathtaking views. A round of golf at Purpoodock is a memorable experience for golfers of all abilities.

The Clubhouse underwent extensive renovation during the winter of 2008-2009. The New Clubhouse was unveiled in May 2009 and features a formal dining area with a double sided fireplace, the casual Greenside Lounge with views of the course, a wrap around deck, a large banquet facility and a well stocked Pro Shop staffed by friendly and skilled professionals.

The local community can now take advantage of the new facilities by renting out the space for special occasions, entertainment, functions or golf tournaments. The course was designed by Larry Rowe, and opened in 1922.
