Contact Us About Advocacy

The whole purpose of advocacy at the Portland Regional Chamber is to effectively communicate your views, your ideas and your positions to policy makers at every level of government so that policymakers can use employer information and perspectives to improve our opportunities for greater prosperity.

The best way for us to do that is to hear from you. The more you talk to us, the better we understand your attitudes and priorities. Every time you share your thinking with us, we get better at representing you!

We use your input - melding it with the work of our Public Policy and Legislative Affairs Committee, and the decision making authority of our Board of Directors - to make sure we are doing the work that you want done.

Another service we offer to members is this: if you have a problem with rules, laws or just getting something accomplished with government, maybe we can help. I have almost 2 decades experience dealing with the way government works - or doesn't. Maybe I can give you a new way to solve that problem that just won't go away. We're not offering free legal advice - just an experienced set of eyes to take a look at your situation and explore options for resolution.

So whether you want to sound off, or find a solution, please email Chris Hall, Senior Vice President-Government Relations, or give me a call at 207.772.2811 ext 231.
