The Portland Regional
Chamber and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield join forces
to offer a new health insurance alternative.
As of January 1, 2004, Cumberland County businesses with two
to 50 employees have access to a discounted, Chamber Blue
Choice Health Plan with an integrated Personal Care Account.
The Personal Care Account is an employer-funded, employee-managed
reimbursement account.
For some time, Chamber members have been telling us they need
an innovative approach to solving the problem of rising health
care costs. We heard our membership and now can offer them
a new product that will save them money.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Chamber Health Alliance
and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and the cooperative
support of the Bureau of Insurance, this novel health plan
is now available.
Who is Eligible?

in this plan, prospective subscribers must:

How to Purchase
the Chamber Blue Choice Health Plan:
This discounted plan is only
available through the Chamber Health Alliance, only to Portland
Regional Chamber members, and only through Anthem BCBS appointed
brokers who are Chamber members! If your broker is not a Chamber
member, urge them to join so you can access this plan. A list
of Chamber member brokers is attached. For full plan details,
