Through a series of locally sourced and harvested dishes, guests will learn how Maine's people, ecology, and economy interact to shape a celebrated food destination. They are partnered with some of the city's top chefs at East Ender, Evo Kitchen + Bar, Piccolo, Scales, Solo Italiano, and Union, and consulted with over 20 nonprofit, research, and education organizations on the educational content.
The tour also highlights the growers and harvesters that the restaurants are sourcing from. They were recently featured in a New York Times article as a tour "offering deeper investigations into the cultural and geographic factors that surround what's on your plate."
