President: Dennis Meehan: Dennis is the Assistant General Manager of Sales with the Portland Sea Dogs baseball team, overseeing sponsorship and ticket sales. He has worked for 13 years in the sports marketing and is the former Director of Memberships for the Portland Regional Chamber. He has served on the board of Propel and joined the Scarborough Board in June of 2015, soon after moving to town with his family. He also serves on the Regional Chamber Advocacy Committee and Eggs and Issues Committee.

Vice President and Treasurer: Tonya Beckwith: Tonya Beckwith is the Real Estate Lending Manager at University Credit Union managing all aspects of real estate lending for the organization. She has spent the last 15 years in the banking industry and enjoys helping others succeed in their financial goals. Her career brought her to the town of Scarborough in 2012 in which she immediately joined the Scarborough Community Chamber in hopes of helping the local businesses and the community.

Secretary: Judy Knapp: Judy Knapp started with Hannaford 32 years ago and currently works in Government Relations for Ahold-Delhaize supporting the Hannaford Supermarket banner in regulatory and legislative affairs. Judy also serves on the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Committee and the Board of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.

Raised in Scarborough, Art has volunteered and been very involved with many Town committees and activities. Art has been with the Chamber of Commerce since 1998 and received the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year in 2009.

Matthew Paradis: Matthew Paradis currently serves on the Scarborough Community Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Matthew has been heavily involved with Scarborough High School in service to the Chamber board as part of the Career Exploration Committee to bring career exploration to the students of Scarborough High School. He is a 20 year resident of Scarborough, has a background in and currently works in insurance while serving on the Scarborough Schools and Business Partnership team.

Nancy Crowell: Nancy has been Director of the non-profit Scarborough Public Library Corporation for more than 40 years and feels privileged to have watched and participated in the development of the Scarborough Chamber of Commerce since its founding. Nancy has served on the Chamber Board in a variety of capacities and is currently a member of the Vision Committee. Under Nancy’s leadership, the Library has committed to providing free lending services to the employees of Scarborough’s businesses.

Laurie Warchol: Laurie Warchol is Vice President at Biddeford Savings where she has worked for 10 years. As a Business Development Officer/Small Business Lender she helps companies grow by assisting owners with their cash management and lending needs. She is a resident of Buxton but considers Scarborough to be her ‘adopted’ home town and is constantly amazed at the national and international reach of companies right in our town.

Dorna Girardin: Dorna is a Loan Audit Specialist at Town & Country Federal Credit Union. She has been at the credit union for 25 years and has lived in Scarborough for 40 years. She enjoys volunteering for several veteran’s organizations and community groups representing her credit union. She has won the Maine Credit Unions Diane Oceretko “People Helping People” Award for Community Service which was a big honor at the state convention in 2016 and in 2017. She also won the Town and Country Making The Difference Award for volunteering in her community. This is her first year on the SCCC Board.

Scott began his practice in Rapid City, South Dakota, in 1985. In June of 2013, Scott became the Regional Director in Maine. He has been in the financial services field for over 30 years and has extensive knowledge and training in needs-based analysis and financial security planning including life insurance, annuity products, mutual funds and college savings plans. He has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation, the Certified Fraternal Field Manager (CFFM) designation, the Financial Services Specialist (FSS) designation, the Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF) designation and the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation. Scott holds FINRA securities 6, 63 and 26 licenses. Scott has always been a member of non-profit boards in whatever community he has resided over the years.
