An Evening with Richard Blanco - Speaking on Immigration

Maine resident and 2013 inaugural poet Richard Blanco will be speaking on immigration reading poems from his new book How to Love a Country on Thursday, August 8 at 6:00 pm at the Jewish Community Alliance, 1342 Congress Street, Portland.

 This event is a benefit for Hope Acts, a nonprofit organization in Portland that provides housing and support for asylum seekers.

Tickets to this event, which start at $25, can be purchased at http://bit.ly/blanco-tix-8-8-19. Refreshments will be provided. A book signing with Richard Blanco and Longfellow Books will take place at the conclusion of the event.

Hope Acts mission is to provide housing, English classes and other resources that support immigrants in transitioning to life in Greater Portland and in achieving their goals for a successful future.
