ACE Mentoring of Maine Seeks Volunteers/Mentors

ACE Mentoring of Maine is an affiliate of the national ACE Mentoring Program.  We are local professional volunteers that mentor Maine high school students and inspire them to pursue careers in design and construction.  Our mission is to engage, excite, and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in our industry.

This year we are expanding the program to reach more students in the greater Portland area as well as up the mid-coast into the surrounding Brunswick area.  We are in need of professionals that are interested in mentoring the next young Architects, Engineers, Contractors, or Skilled Tradesmen.

Mainebiz celebrates the 2019 Women to Watch on Sept. 17

Mainebiz launched its Women to Watch award recognition program as a way to bring attention to top-notch women executives, women whose daily work strengthens their organizations and by extension, Maine's economy. Now, after 10 years, Mainebiz has honored 50 women, including this year's newest honorees.
 On Tuesday, September 17th, Mainebiz will be celebrating these inspirational leaders at the 2019 Mainebiz Women to Watch Reception. This year’s honorees are: Mary Allen Lindemann, co-founder of Coffee By Design; Betsy Biemann, CEO of Coastal Enterprises Inc.; Kim Swan, president of The Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty and Swan Hospitality Group; and Liz Cotter Schlax, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Portland.
