Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Sponsors “Maine in the Movies” Film Festival in Celebration of Maine’s Bicentennial

Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is pleased to be a presenting sponsor for “Maine in the Movies,” a statewide film festival featuring 35 movies set in Maine. The 11-day festival, which runs from March 5-15 in 17 cities across the state, is being held in honor of Maine’s bicentennial. The festival is organized by the Maine Film Center and co-presented with 19 arts and education organizations and independent cinemas.

The films screening during the festival include Maine’s oldest narrative movie, Jean the Match-Maker (1910); beloved classics Bambi (1942) and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel (1956); and recent movies Aquaman (2018) and The Lighthouse (2019).
