Richmond, Ky., June 18, 2020 — James Mangini, RLLD, will join the Association for Linen Management (ALM) Board of Directors at the end of June. Mangini has been a long time member of ALM, and succeeds Rich Bott, RLLD, CLLM, as president-elect as Bott moves into the role of president. Mangini has over 15 years of experience in the industry as the director of linen services for Maine’s largest medical center, Maine Medical Center Linen Services.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the president-elect of ALM,” said Mangini. “Our educational platform is second-to-none and has had a tremendous impact on my professional growth. Today’s laundry industry has never seen more challenges. From the demand to improve efficiencies, to financial stability of providers, our industry needs competent operators to lead us through these challenges.”

Mangini speaks passionately about helping ALM members successfully navigate the changes brought on by not only the COVID-19 pandemic, but working to ensure public safety and comfort and we move through this time.
“I will work to further strengthen ALM's position as the industry leader in education and provide the information we need in our ever-evolving world,” said Mangini. “My background has allowed me the unique position to both serve as a senior leader at Maine Medical and also be the provider of linen programs for various healthcare institutions.”

Mangini credits ALM and its educational programs for his understanding of the healthcare dynamics in the textile care industry. With that understanding, he has educated his customers to improve their linen programs and reduce costs.
“I could not be more pleased with our membership’s decision to elect James,” said ALM Executive Director Linda Fairbanks. “He has assisted immensely over the years in providing the excellent resources and education ALM is known for through our Educational Affairs Committee, chairing the Curriculum Development Task Force, and being a frequent facilitator for our Laundry & Linen College.”

For all ALM updates, be sure to follow on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
