PORTLAND — PROPEL, the next generation of Portland’s business leaders, recently announced the date, location and partner for its January PRO.U event. From 5:30-7:30 on Tuesday, Jan. 21 PROPEL will host PRO.U in partnership with the University of Maine Alumni Association at Luke’s Lobster on the Portland Pier.
The purpose of PROPEL’s PRO.U events is to support young professionals within our region by providing them with an environment where they can grow their professional networks.

This event will bring together University of Maine System graduates, or soon-to-be-graduates, and young professionals from within the area — you won’t want to miss it!

Tickets cost $10 and are available at this link. Tickets include one beverage, raffle items and lobster roll specials.

PRO. U was established in 2018 with the mission of building deeper connections between Maine’s professional community and local colleges and universities. The inaugural event was in partnership with the University of Southern Maine, and since then PRO. U has grown to include multiple events per year that bring together current/recent college graduates and established alumni from throughout the region.

PROPEL’s mission is to enrich Maine’s economy by developing an environment and culture where young professionals can thrive in the region’s growing business community. PROPEL was founded in partnership with the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2006 by a small group of passionate young professionals who wanted to help other young people grow their professional networks, develop fundamental career skills, and celebrate all that Maine has to offer.
