SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – Sebago Technics, a Maine-based, employee-owned, engineering consulting firm, announces the hiring of Donna Larson, as Community Planner. Donna Larson, AICP, joined Sebago Technics in April of 2019 as Community Planner. Prior to joining Sebago, she served as the Town Planner in Freeport for 19 years. Prior to that, she was Town Planner in Cumberland, ME and Executive Director of the Cumberland Housing Authority. In addition to her planning roles, Donna has served as Chair of the Municipal Oversight Committee of the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, President of the Northern New England Chapter of the American Planning Association, and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System (PACTS). During her career she led the creation of municipal and residential energy conservation programs/projects, developed municipal zoning and development ordinances, reviewed hundreds of development projects, led numerous community engagement processes, written grant applications, developed and implemented Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts, and worked with Portland Metro to bring bus service to Freeport.
